Art on every wall.

Showwall puts original art on the walls of cafés, bars, hotels, studios and galleries, and lets anyone who walks past take it home.

01 — Who it’s for

One painting, three people.

Showwall connects whoever makes a work, the place that shows it and whoever takes it home. Follow one painting from a studio to a café wall to a living room.

A small canvas on an easel with a terracotta brushstroke and a paintbrush.

I For artists

It starts in a studio.

Alex has more paintings than wall space. A portfolio on Showwall takes a few minutes, and an open wall two streets away is one application away.

  • Apply to open walls nearby, with no wall rent
  • Build your portfolio in a few minutes
  • Sign the exhibition agreement in the chat
  • Sell works straight off the wall

II For locations

Then it finds a wall.

Café Lumen has a bare wall by the street window. Lena lists it with its size and light, picks Alex from the artists who apply and signs in the chat. The show opens on Friday.

  • List a wall with its size, light and foot traffic
  • Choose from the artists who apply, or invite one
  • Plan the opening night and the guest list
  • See how every show performs

III For art lovers

And then it goes home.

Felix comes in for a flat white and keeps looking at the painting by the window. The label beside it opens the work in the app, and before the coffee is cold, Alex has an offer.

  • Discover shows near you on the map
  • Follow artists and save the works you love
  • ArtMatch learns your taste as you swipe
  • Buy the piece you saw over coffee

Next month the wall changes, and the story starts again.

Every café is a gallery that doesn’t know it yet.

02 — How it works

From bare wall to opening night.

  1. 01

    List a wall

Add a photo, the size, the light and how busy it gets. Your wall shows up on the map for artists nearby.

  2. 02

    Artists apply

They send their dates and a short pitch. Accept, decline or talk it through in the chat.

  3. 03

    The show goes live

Both sides sign the agreement in the app. The work goes up with a label visitors can scan to buy it.

03 — The app

The whole show, in your pocket.

The Discover tab: a map of Berlin with pins for open walls and a glass panel listing the closest first, led by Atelier North, 50 metres away.
